Father Fabien Kagni Sognon is a known face to us all. He is from Togo. He had his seminary formation in the following countries: Benin (Philosophy and Spiritual year), Nigeria (Stage) and Kenya (Theology). He became a permanent member of the SMA on 8th November, 2001 and was ordained a priest on the 25th May 2002 in Lome, Togo.
His first missionary appointment was in Lagos and Ibadan in Nigeria for two years.
Since 2004, Fr Sognon has been working in various capacities in the administrative teams of the SMA in Africa. First, as bursar of the erstwhile African District-in-Formation from 2004 to 2009 and when the Gulf of Guinea District-in-Formation was created in 2009, he became the vice-superior for two terms. In 2013, he was appointed Superior of the unit and reappointed on 1st July 2016.
Father Fabien likes meeting new people and making friends. For football, he is a fun of Arsenal. He also likesloves playing golf.
Father Samuel Mawunya Koku Agbeme was born on 27th October, 1965 at Fodome-Helu in Ghana. He had his missionary formation in Ghana (Philosophy), Benin (Spiritual Year and Stage) and Côte d’Ivoire (Theology). On 27th June, 1997, he became permanent member of the Society and was later ordained a priest on 1st August 1998 at Hohoe in Ghana.
Father Samuel was appointed to the then SMA Region of Benin after his ordination from 1998 to 2004. He became Superior of the SMA House of Formation, Sowutuom, Ghana at the same time Vocation Director for the region from 2004 to 2007. He later went to the Pontifical Institute of St. Anselm of Rome from 2007 to 2011 where he obtained his Masters Degree in Sacred Theology (Liturgy). Since September 2011, he has been working at Foyer SMA Mgr Strebler, Agodeke in Lome, Togo as the Superior of the formation House.
Those who know him well cannot disassociate him from music. Welcome father Samuel.
